Zinoviy Guzner

Zinoviy Semenovich Guzner, 85, of Lawrenceville, Georgia peacefully departed this world on October 31, 2024 surrounded in love by his family. He was born in Kiev, Ukraine on July 2, 1939 to parents Israel Guzner and Basya Batsheva Guzner. Zuna is preceded by his mother and father, his sisters Bella Lapushin and Tanya Guzner, and his brother Michael Guzner. He is survived by his beloved wife, Anna Guzner, his sons, Boris Guzner and Gennadiy Guzner, his daughter-in-law Kathyrn Guzner, and his grandchildren, Sonia Guzner, Matthew Skutar-Guzner, Sara Guzner, and Clara Guzner. 

Zuna married the love of his life, Anya, on February 18, 1967 within months of meeting her. He studied Geology at the Belorussian Polytechnical Institute in Minsk, Belarus and immigrated to America in 1997 for a better life for his family. He worked as a masonry estimator alongside his friend, Jack Kalpus, for many years until his retirement. Zuna was fiercely dedicated to his family and was happiest when home with Anya, his sons Boris and Gennadiy, and his grandchildren. Zuna fought his long battle with illness with dignity and grace. He was a rock to his family and a role model to his sons.  

Funeral services will be held at Crest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery on Friday, November 1, 2024 at 12:30 p.m. with noon arrival time with Rabbi Michael Bernstein of Gesher L'Torah synagogue leading the service.
