OBITUARY

Yale Alec Shure, passed away December 4, 2024 in Atlanta, GA. He was born 74 years ago  to Annette and Daniel Shure in Norfolk, VA. 

He graduated from Briarcliff High School and then Auburn University. Upon graduation, he was commissioned as a 2LT in the Army. He served his country proudly through two tours in Germany, one in South Korea, Desert Storm and numerous other missions and retired as a Major after 20 years. After leaving the service, he used the skills he honed supporting our troops to organize construction projects. After his second retirement, he indulged his passion for landscaping by spending many happy hours in the yard. 

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marilyn Rich Shure, his daughter Jean Paley (Fishel), his son, Isaac Shure (Lauren), his sister, Hilary Shure (Holli Levinson), and grandchildren, Shevi, Eli and Huvi Paley and Cori, Sam, Jacob and Xander Shure.

The funeral will be held Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Crestlawn Cemetery at 2 pm. 

Minyan will be at 5:10 pm Thursday, Sunday-Tuesday at the Shure home. Visitors are welcome in the afternoon and early evening. Shiva meals are being coordinated by Roseann Shulman 404-502-5921.
