OBITUARY:
A devoted daughter, sister and aunt, Sharon Friedman died in her sleep at home on August 8, 2024. She was born on March 10,1940 in Atlanta. The daughter of the late Belle Teplis Frank and the late Jack Friedman, Sharon was an Atlanta native and grew up in the Morningside area. She is also predeceased by her uncles Nathan Teplis and Dr. Paul Teplis. She did not marry nor have children of her own but was very family oriented. Her sister Barbara Katz, brother in-law Barry Katz and their 2 children Mitchell and Andrew Katz were very close to her and they spent all Jewish holidays and Thanksgiving together. Her favorite past times were reading, traveling and occasional trips to casino’s to play blackjack and three card poker. For many years Sharon lived in New York and worked in the film industry. After that she moved back to Atlanta and worked in the family business of Teplis Travel. We are heartbroken and will miss her dearly! The funeral service will take place at 1 pm on Sunday, August 11th at Arlington Memorial Park, 201 Mt. Vernon Hwy, Sandy Springs, GA 30328. Rabbi Ephraim Silverman officiating.
