Sandra Christopher King

OBITUARY: 
Sandra Christopher King, 77, passed on December 12, 2024, in Atlanta, Georgia.  Sandra was born in Limestone County, Alabama to Jerry Mason Christopher and Francis Sexton Christopher on August 25, 1947. Sandra married Dennis Harvey King, the love of her life, on July 3, 1970.  Sandra is survived by her loving husband, Dennis; her sister, Carolyn Burkhalter (Glenn); her daughter, Bridgette Michelle King (Randy Tyndall) and daughter-in-law, Shari Ellis; 3 grandchildren, Christopher James “CJ” Tyndall, Jacob Ryan Tyndall, Molly Noel Tyndall (Kolby Sisk); 2 great-grandchildren, Oliver Gray Tyndall and Hazel Jane Tyndall; brother-in-law, Cary Stuart King (Sherry); and several nieces and nephews.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry Mason Christopher and Francis Sexton; brother, Daniel (Danny) Mason Christoper; and son, Hunter Mason King.

Sandra attended Decatur High School in Decatur, Alabama and was a proud member of the Decatur High School Marching Band, where she played the clarinet.  Sandra graduated from Georgia State University, in 1982, Summa Cum Laude, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, majoring in Accounting, all while raising 2 children.  After graduating, Sandra went to work in an Actuarial Firm as a Benefit Consultant, and then went on to open her own business as a Benefit Consultant.  At Georgia State, Sandra was a proud member of the Blue Key National Honor Society.

In addition to her accomplishments, Sandra was loved and respected by all who encountered her.  She befriended many and they became lifelong friends.  Her caring and love for family and friends was and is acknowledged by all who knew her.  

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 3, 2025, at Dressler’s Jewish Funeral Care Chapel, located at 3742 Chamblee Dunwoody Road, Dunwoody, GA 30341.
