OBITUARY

Rosalie Baranovitz Hirschberg passed away December 13, 2025. Rosalie was born April 16, 1933 in Atlanta, Ga. She was predeceased in death by her parents Hyman and Ida Baranovitz, her brother Jack, her loving husband of 68 years Walter and her son David.  She is survived by her son Mark.  Devoted loving wife and mother.  Her Judaism was important to her, lighting candles every Friday night, observing all the Jewish holidays, relishing Passover, when all family and friends would gather for Passover seder.  Her passion for young children and education lead her to being a part time teaching assistant at The Epstein School.  She partnered in the family real estate business, a major advisor and contributor to the building and remodeling of properties.  She was proficient in Yiddish, volunteering in the 70's for translation to newly transplanted Russian Jews to Atlanta.  A lover of nature, plants, and animals, never missing a televised Georgia football game or Atlanta Braves baseball game.  A good friend and listener to all.
