OBITUARY:
Rob Hassett, born in Franklin, Virginia, and a longtime resident of Atlanta, passed away after a full and steady life devoted to his family, his work, and his hobbies and passions. A Georgia Tech graduate and attorney, Rob was known for his savvy around technology, and his willingness to strike up a conversation with anyone. He enjoyed music, especially oldies like The Beatles, kept up with the latest technology, and spent years documenting family life with his video camera. He stayed active through jogging, walking, and even Wii Fit as Parkinson’s made movement more challenging.
Rob is survived by his wife, Lynn Hassett, and their children: Laura (husband Ryan), Elizabeth (husband Jonah), and Joe. He was a proud grandfather to Cameron, Rosalie, Abram, and Eva, always ready to play and spend time with them. Rob’s family will remember him for his steady presence, contentedness for life, and the joy he found in being a husband, father, and grandad.
Contributions in Rob's memory can be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation or the American Parkinson Disease Association.
