OBITUARY:

Patti Wittes passed away peacefully on August 21, 2025. As an elementary school teacher in Fulton County Schools for 30 years, she touched the  lives of many students, teachers and parents.  Outside her classroom she had a sign that read “Everybody has a spot in Mrs. Wittes’s class”.  She had a degree from the University of Cincinnati in Education and graduated in 1972.  She was an avid reader and believed reading was the key to learning.  She was a member of the Friendship Force that went to New Zealand to see how they taught Reading Recovery.  She is survived by her  Marc Wittes (husband), Scott Wittes (son) and Joshua Wittes (son), Ian Wittes, and Hunter Wittes (grandsons) and Maci Beall (granddaughter), Cindy Faber (sister),  She was predeceased by her parents, Shirely and Herbert Triger and her sister, Nancy Sweeney all of blessed memory.
