Norman Blumenthal SHIVA & OBITUARY

Norman Blumenthal, of Sandy Springs, GA, died at home on March 18, 2024, at the age of 88, with his beloved wife Marilyn by his side. Norman was born to Harry and Rose Blumenthal in Brooklyn, NY, on July 16. 1935. He was raised in Brooklyn and attended James Madison High School and Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute, where he received his bachelor's in civil engineering.

Norman and Marilyn Meltzer married on December 22, 1963, in New York, and were together for 60 years. They had two sons, Michael and David, who they raised in Spring Valley, NY. He worked as a civil and facilities engineer for his entire career, with the majority of his time at Revlon, where he managed the construction of factories and warehouses around the world. Along with his professional career, Norman was dedicated to his communities, actively volunteering with his synagogues in NY and Florida and his homeowners' association in Florida.

In retirement, Norman and Marilyn settled in Delray Beach, Florida, for 22 years. His international work created a love of travel, a big part of retirement for him, Marilyn, and their friends. Norman cherished spending time with his family and was dedicated to his grandchildren in Florida and Georgia, who he treasured, traveling back and forth to Georgia before relocating there several years ago.

Norman is survived by his wife, Marilyn; son and daughter-in-law, David and Vickie Blumenthal, Marietta; daughter-in-law, Corrinne Blumenthal, Coral Springs, FL; brother and sister-in-law Allan and Bonnie Blumenthal of Lewiston, ME; and grandchildren, Alana, Hannah, and Sam.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. A graveside service will be held Thursday, March 21, 2024, at 3:00 pm at Arlington Memorial Park with Rabbi Michelle Coffskey officiating. Arrangements by Dressler’s Jewish Funeral Care, Atlanta (770) 451-4999; sign online guest book at https://www.jewishfuneralcare.com.
