OBITUARY:

Morris David Franco (born January 11, 1960) passed away peacefully surrounded by comfort from his family on January 28, 2026, with a heart full of love and a life well-lived. Morris was born at Georgia Baptist Hospital to parents David Morris Franco and Anita Capeluto Franco and grew up in Druid Hills, Ga with his sister (Sharon Franco) and brother (Leon Franco).

Morris’ greatest pride was his family and the love of his life, Pamela Franco, whom he met while attending the University of Georgia. Following college, Morris and Pam married and relocated to Atlanta where he began work in Risk Management for BellSouth (and subsequently AT&T) making significant impacts both professionally and personally over a distinguished 32- year career.

Morris’ best and most important job was always being a partner to Pam in raising their two children (Ryan Franco and Ally Franco Friedman). He had an uncanny ability to fix any problem, give you a warm hug (and kiss on the forehead) that made you feel loved, and to be present showing how much he cared. Morris was a sense of calm, a friend you always wanted to have on your side, and a fierce advocate for his family.

His greatest joy was becoming a “Papou” to his three grand children (Cooper, Leighton, and Lily) and he was and will remain a joy of light for them. From never missing a school/sports event, continuously showing them unconditional love and support, and always teaching them the right way to complete any project. He was a solid rock in their corner and always will be. He also held special places in his heart for his daughter-in-law (Lexi Franco) and son-in-law (Ben Friedman) whom he could not have hand-selected as better partners in life for his children.

Morris was a gentle, shy, and loving friend that impacted this world in a meaningful way. His family was and always will be proud and lucky to call him ours. We love you, we will always miss you, and you will live in our hearts forever.

The family will hold a graveside memorial on January 30, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Greenlawn Cemetery to celebrate the wonderful life of Morris.
