Marilyn Slesinger Hartman
Miriam bas Moshe v Chana
Marilyn Slesinger Hartman, age 83, of Atlanta, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2025.
Marilyn was born on August 27, 1941, in Bishopville, South Carolina, to Morris and Anna Michalove Slesinger. The youngest of four siblings, she spent much of her childhood in Bishopville before moving to Atlanta with her mother to join her sister Yvonne in the late 1950s.
In the early 1970s, Marilyn met the love of her life, William C. Hartman, and the two married in the early 1980s. She worked part-time alongside Bill in his trucking company, but her greatest joy was spending time with her beloved mother, Anna. Marilyn was known for her straightforward nature, her love of music, her skill at card games, and the cherished hours she spent learning to make homemade bagels with her mother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Hartman; her sisters: Yvonne Slesinger Tillem (Jerry) and Rita Slesinger-Goldstein; her brother, Paul Slesinger (Phyllis); and her nephew, Maurice Goldstein, all of blessed memory.
Marilyn is survived by her loving nieces and nephews: Wendi Tillem (Lloyd Wynn) and Michelle Tillem-Sims (Chris), and children, Arden and Ethan Frank, all of Atlanta; Harriott Slesinger and Jerold Slesinger of Charleston, SC; Sandy Bond & Joan Michelle of Locust Grove, GA.
