OBITUARY
Marcie Jean Lefkovitz Bashuk, 68, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 28, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on October 30, 1957, in Nashville, Tennessee, she was the youngest of three children, alongside her sister, Leslie “Toe,” and her brother, Steve. She was raised in Cookeville, Tennessee, by her devoted parents, Beverly “Pepper” and Arnold.
Marcie’s greatest joy was her family. Nothing meant more to her than being together with her husband, her three children and their spouses, and the two most important people in her life - her grandchildren, Pepper and Lamb. She loved spending time with her friends, was always happiest on a shopping trip, and, above all, devoted herself to caring for her children and grandchildren - which she considered her most important role.
Before starting her family, Marcie attended the University of Georgia, where she was a proud member of Sigma Delta Tau. She later worked as a middle school teacher in Augusta, Georgia. She was an incredible friend, mother, and daughter, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; her children, Andrew, Mark and his wife Julie, and Allie and her husband Andy; her grandchildren, Pepper and Lamb; and her siblings, Steve and his wife Judy, and Leslie and her husband Howard.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to Lung Cancer Foundation of America.
