OBITUARY

Marcia Joan Stettin was born July 16, 1938 in New York City to Rose and Benjamin Smith. She passed away on February 25, 2024 at the age of 85 died in Atlanta, surrounded by loved ones. She was married for 65 years to the love of her life, Herbert Stettin. They had two children, Pamela and Eric, whom they cherished.

Marcia was a forward thinking woman of her era, successfully running a woman's clothing business while raising children. Marcia was always beautifully dressed, a wonderful cook, and even better baker. What she loved best, however, was being a grandmother. Marcia played a central role in our lives and we, her children, grandchildren, friends and extended family, are all better people because of her.

She is survived by her husband Herb, her daughter Pam (Brad), and grandchildren Ben and Leah; her son Eric (Dana), grandsons Jonathan (Rori), Daniel, and Maxwell; sister-in-law Diana Dubinsky and nieces Roslyn Lewin (David), Robin Colonomos (Ben), Susan and nephew Scott; her "bonus" daughter, Dr. Jan Naumann (children Emily and Foard), and many life long friends. Her life was a blessing to us all. Contributions in Marcia's memory can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or the charity of your choice.

Marcia's funeral was held graveside at Lakeside Memorial Park and Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 28th at 11:30 a.m.,10301 NW 25th St, Miami, FL 33172. The family will be receiving family and friends upon their return to Atlanta on Saturday, March 2 at 5:30 at the home of Pam and Brad Marcus, 15 Old Powers Place, Atlanta, GA 30327. The Shiva service will begin at 6:00.
