Marcia Shonson Baumrind, age 77 of Atlanta, passed away peacefully in her home with family by her side on Tuesday, February 17th, 2026. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Emil Baumrind, son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Stephanie Baumrind, daughter and son-in-law, Dana and Adam Karp, and grandchildren: Sean and Stella, brother, Brian and Karen Shonson and sister-in-law, Cathy and Rick Swerdlin. Ms. Baumrind was a sixth-generation lifetime member of Congregation Ahavath Achim and a native of Atlanta.  She loved and adored her family. In lieu of flowers; memorial contributions may be made to Congregation Ahavath Achim or a charity of your choice. Graveside services will be held at 2:30pm Wednesday, February 18th at Crest Lawn Memorial Park.
