OBITUARY:

With heavy hearts we are sad to announce the passing of Lawrence (Larry) Sommers, 73, of Marietta, Georgia. He passed away in the early morning hours of June 26, 2025, from complications of heart surgery. He was born and raised in the Chicago area. He is survived by loving wife of 43 years, Jacqueline (Jake) Raybin Sommers, his mother, Lois Sommers, and his sisters, Karen Sommers, Debbie Sommers Machover, and Leslie Sommers Chambers.

Larry's career included owning frame shops and many years as a computer programer for a pharmaceutical billing company. He was devoted to his wife Jake and they spent many happy years riding Harley Davidson Motorcycles, RV camping trips, and playing horseshoes.

He will be remembered for his kindness, humor, instructing hundreds of people how to safely ride a motorcycle and being the best Boo (Husband) ever.

There will be a memorial gathering in Northbrook, Illinois August 3,  2025. Details to follow.

Gone too soon. He will be missed. May his memory be a comfort and a blessing. .
