Larry Burton Greenberg (Party Larry), 95, of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.

Born on July 5, 1931, in Birmingham, Alabama, Larry was a beloved husband, partner, father, brother, grandfather (Papa), great-grandfather, a Duke graduate, avid Braves fan, and friend to so many. He will be remembered for his kindness and humor - he never met a stranger.

Larry dedicated his life to his family and to giving back to his community. He owned Max Autoparts and Allied Factory Warehouse with his two late brothers, Alvin and Earl Greenberg, until selling the business in the late 1980s. Larry and Alvin also sat first and second chair in the Shrine Band for 60 years. Larry was a proud Marine and served during the Korean War. 

He is survived by his two daughters, Lisa Light (Mark Light) and Robyn Zimmerman; three granddaughters, Lauren Bernath (Joe Bernath), Megan Mueller (Eric Mueller), and Remy Zimmerman; four great-grandchildren (Madison, Jackson, Eli and Nolan); and his “lady friend,” Madolin Seldes. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Reva Greenberg and parents Gertrude (Fanny) and Maurice Greenberg.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday August 25th at 10:00 am at Greenwood Cemetery (1173 Cascade Avenue SW, Atlanta, GA 30311).

The family will observe shiva at the home of Lisa and Mark Light, 115 Gilford Way, Atlanta, GA 30350 Tuesday from 6:30 - 9:00 pm, and Wednesday 12:00 - 4:00 pm and 6:30 - 9:00 pm. Minyan will be at 7pm Tuesday and Wednesday nights.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Larry's memory to Shriners Children’s Hospital or The Epstein School.
