John Lawrence Wise

John Wise, 80, of Atlanta, Georgia, died on October 30, 2024. Born in 1944 to the late Charles and Nina Wise (née Collins), John lived a multifaceted life rich with devotion to his work and friendships. He graduated from the University of Montevallo with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and a minor in History. For fifteen years, John served as an international tariff analyst with Delta Airlines. Later, he joined Affairs to Remember Catering, the business of his husband, Ronald, and their dear friend, Scott, where he worked as a receptionist for seven years until his retirement in 2006. In his spare time, John enjoyed baking, solving puzzles, and traveling with Ronald. 

John is predeceased by his beloved husband, Ronald J. Lazarus, and his twin brother, Jerry Lamar Wise. He is survived by longtime friend, Scott Ardolino. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation (www.parkinson.org) or to any charity supporting Parkinson’s research.
