OBITUARY:
Jeffrey Stephen Wasileski, 84, of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2026. Born on December 2, 1941, in Lorain, Ohio, Jeff lived a life defined by devotion to family, curiosity, and adventure.
Jeff was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Miriam, his father, Joseph and mother Emily Weigel. He is survived by his son, Randy (Kelly); his daughter, Emily; his cherished granddaughter, Erin; his brother, Dennis Wasileski; his brother and sister-in-law, David and Pearline Franco; as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
A longtime member of Congregation Or VeShalom, Jeff found joy in lifelong learning and staying active. He practiced martial arts, including Judo and Krav Maga, cheered faithfully for Ohio State football, loved spending time at the beach and snorkeling, and treasured the companionship of his beloved rescue cats. Of all his favorite activities, none brought him greater happiness than spending time with his granddaughter.
Jeff met the love of his life, Miriam, while they were both working for New York Life, beginning a partnership that would span decades. He will be remembered for his strength, kindness, sense of adventure, and unwavering love for his family. After a lifetime together, Jeff is now reunited with his beloved Miriam.
May his memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved him. Donations may be made in Jeff's memory to Congregation Or VeShalom or to Furkids Animal Rescue and Shelters in Atlanta.
