OBITUARY

Gary Ira Greenwald, 73, of Marietta, GA passed away on March 23rd, 2026 to the shock and utter devastation of his family and friends.

Gary was an adoring husband, a selfless father, a loving grandfather, a loyal friend, a respected attorney, and an avid animal lover. He attended Hofstra University and Tel Aviv University before getting his JD from Potomac School of Law. However, he was far prouder of the education and life experiences he was able to provide for his three children. Let his life be a blessing to everyone who knew him and serve as a reminder to love deeply, give generously and to always think for yourself.

Gary is predeceased by his mother, Thelma Greenwald; his fathers, Howard Greenwald and Jack Margulies; and his three beloved furry friends, Sam, Chevy, and Barkley. He is survived by: his wife, Jody Greenwald; his eldest child, Allison Javer, and her family, Jason, Jack, and James Javer; his middle child, Stacey Jones, and her family, Steve, Camden, and Clay Jones; his youngest child, Michael Greenwald, and his family, Laura and Alma Greenwald; his sister, Gail Land; his brother, Robert Greenwald; and his sisters-in-law, Ellen Green and Lisa Green.

Memorial donations may be made to PAWS Atlanta. The funeral will be held at 10:30am on March 26th, 2026 at Arlington Memorial Park with Rabbi Brad Levenberg officiating.  Guests are welcome to the home of Gary and Jody on Thursday, March 26 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Friday, March 27 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
