OBITUARY:
Esther Kaye Rothstein (Baumfeld), 82, of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away on January 15, 2026, with her family by her side.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, Esther lived a life rooted in service, community, and love for her family. She was the proud mother of Alisa (Brent) and Russell (Adena) and the beloved Savta to her grandchildren: Leora, Shuey, Maddox, Naomi, Yehuda, and Batzi. Known for her sharp wit, humor, and intelligence, Esther brought laughter and warmth to those around her.
Esther was deeply committed to volunteering within the Jewish community. She gave her time to several Jewish organizations, including SAR Academy in Riverdale, New York, and B’nai B’rith. After moving to Atlanta, she volunteered for more than 15 years at Northside Hospital, where her dedication and compassion touched many lives.
A graveside burial was held on January 18, 2026, at Mount Lebanon Cemetery in New York. Shiva will be observed on January 19, 2026, from 2:00–5:00 p.m. at Sunrise at Johns Creek.
Esther will be remembered for her humor, her generosity, and the deep love she had for her family.
