Dr. Elizabeth McCampbell’s soul returned to God on July 30, 2026.  She is survived by her son Brennan Guy Coheleach, daughter-in-law Rachel Mottern Coheleach, niece Elizabeth Grace Jordan and her BFF Megan Dooley.  Elizabeth was born in Augusta Georgia, the daughter of William Kaye and Bette McCampbell.  She was preceded in death by her brother Tracy McCampbell and sisters Kay McCampbell and Janet Jordan.  Elizabeth graduated from Augusta Preparatory school and was the valedictorian of her class.  She graduated from Eckerd College with honors.  While at Eckerd, she studied languages in Europe and was fluent in German and French.  Elizabeth received her doctorate in clinical psychology from Georgia State University.  She practiced psychology for 43 years.  Elizabeth was a skilled clinician and was frequently sought out by her colleagues for her wisdom and expertise.  Her patients adored her, and she leaves a legacy of the thousands of lives that she touched and improved.  When you were with Elizabeth, she made you feel that you were important and empowered.  She loved to laugh and could find humor in almost any situation.  Elizabeth loved art and beauty.  Her favorite artist was Gustav Klimt.  She was the real woman in Gold.

Contributions in her memory can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.
