Eleanor Mintz

A wise, kind, and loving mother, grand-mother, and great-grandmother. Eleanor graduated from Barnard College in 1944. She worked as a journalist for the AP during WWII. Later, she was a development officer at Barnard College and a director of development at NY Hospital/Cornell Medical Center, retiring as an Assistant Dean. Beloved wife for 63 years of the late Samuel I. Mintz; loving and beloved mother of Joel (Meri-Jane Rochelson) and Jonathan (Robin Kramarow), grandmother of Daniel (Sarah Allison), Serafima (Emily Colley), Michael (JoAnna Kang), Sarah (Philip Reisen), and Benjamin (Emily Beker Mintz), great-grandmother of Samuel, Karl, Nathan, Talia, and Eamon. Avid reader until the end of her long life, lover of travel and classical music, devoted cousin and friend. She was an inspiration to all who knew her.

Funeral services for Mrs. Eleanor Mintz were held at 11:00 AM on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at The Riverside Memorial Chapel, 100 Saw Mill River Road, Hawthorne, NY, 10532. Following the services, interment took place at Cedar Park Cemetery, 735 Forest Avenue Paramus, NJ 07652
