OBITUARY:

David Joseph Skolsky died surrounded in love by his family in Atlanta.

A native New Yorker, he grew up in the Bronx, attended Christopher Columbus HS, graduated from Alfred University in 1962, and then served active duty in the army as a commissioned officer. He married Gail in 1964 and they created a home in New City where he was active in the community and sat on the board of the chamber of commerce.  He was an insurance professional, having achieved CPCU designation in 1975.

He is survived by Gail (Sandlofer), his sister Marcia (Jim) Byrnes, his longtime companion Claire Holtsford, his 3 daughters: Lauren (Laurie Foster), Robin (Mesha Rebac) and Randi (Billy Steuer) as well as his 4 granddaughters Brooke, Marley, Lindsay, and Jamie - his shining stars.

An eclectic assemblage artist and an avid golfer, he combined his love of golf and sports into his artwork.

He will be greatly missed.
