OBITUARY:
Caren Sue (nee/Schuler) Levine of Suwanee, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2026. She was 78. She is survived by her husband, Marty; her children, Marc (Michelle) and Brett (Cindy); grandchildren; and many other friends and family.
Caren was born an only child on October 11, 1947, in the Bronx, New York, to Ann and Nathan Schuler. She loved telling stories about growing up there.
Caren met Marty on a blind date, and they married in June 1968. This Monday, June 15, would have been their 58th anniversary. Together, they raised their two sons in Rockland County, New York.
Caren worked as an insurance broker both in New York and after moving to Georgia over 20 years ago. She became active in temple, enjoying services, adventures with the Prime Timers, Torah study, and eventually becoming a bat mitzvah. She also spent time volunteering at the guest desk at Emory Hospital.
Caren enjoyed watching birds at her bird feeder and chasing squirrels away. She had a gift for identifying different flowers and trees. She loved her dog, Lilly, and was famous for her Gefilte fish for every holiday. She will be deeply missed by family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to Congregation Dor Tamid, 11165 Parsons Rd, Johns Creek, GA 30097.
