Beverly Mahone

OBITUARY

Beverly Faye Karp Mahone passed away peacefully at Emory University Hospital at the age of 81.  She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, and her stepson Mike Mahone (Anne) as well as several loving nieces, nephews, cousins, grand-children, great-grandchildren and dear friends. 

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Jeannette Karp, her husband, Thomas F. Mahone, stepson Chris, sister and brother-in-law Karen and Marvin Finkelstein and brother and sister-in-law Sol and Sharon Karp.

She was born in Vincennes, IN and graduated proudly from Indiana University, and received a Master's Degree in Library Sciences from Florida State University.

Most of her adult life was spent as a caregiver for those she loved. She was known for showing up at hospitals and homes with bottled water, nuts and healthy snacks to share with everyone while always wearing one of her trademark hats on top of her striking white hair.  

Beverly loved to read, play mahjong, travel, listen to 50s/60s music, dine out with family and friends and watch old movies and TV shows.  She was a dedicated friend and aunt to so many and will be greatly missed.  There is comfort knowing she has been reunited with the love of her life after 5 long years apart.
