It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Allen Sidney Becker, age eighty-six, at home in Acworth, Georgia on October 8th. He departed this world peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love for his family, community, and country.

Allen was born June 2nd, 1939, to Louis and Sarah Becker. After graduating from Druid Hills High School and attending Georgia Tech, Allen was commissioned into the U.S. Air Force, where he earned two Distinguished Flying Crosses—the Air Force’s highest medal—during the Viet Nam War. He married his life-long love, Lynne Kaye in 1961 and was married for sixty-four years. He raised and unceasingly supported three sons serving as a coach and mentor not just to his children but to many others in Warner Robins, Georgia. Allen was a registered Geogia High School Association sports official for over thirty years in baseball, softball, and basketball.

Allen was a man of considerable talent and abilities. He served as an electronic warfare officer, electronic warfare systems engineer, and as a logistics manager in the United States Air Force where he retired as a Lieutenant Colonel after twenty years. He continued his professional career as a technical consultant, an electronic systems marketing manager, and former site operations manager at American Electronic Laboratories, Inc., and a proposal manager at Associated Computer Services.

Although Allen could be intense and passionate, he had a wonderful sense of humor with a sharp wit and an easy demeanor. He could talk easily with most anyone with sincerity and attention. He also was a musician that loved Jazz, and he played saxophone, clarinet, and trumpet performing in bands as a teenager and young man with artists Ray Stevens and Jerry Reed.

The eldest of three siblings, Allen lost his father suddenly from a heart attack when Allen was still a young man. Allen was a devoted son to his mother, Sarah, who passed away at age one-hundred-and two, and big brother and father figure to his two younger sisters, Renee Chiarenza and Cheryl Harp for whom he always maintained caring and loving relationships.

Allen is survived by his wife of sixty-four years, Lynne; three sons and daughter-in-law, Louis, Jason, and Marc and Emily, and two precious grandchildren, Jack and Hannah.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025 at 1:30 PM at Crest Lawn Memorial Park, or can be viewed via live-stream on Zoom.

Rest in peace, Dad. You will be forever missed and always remembered.
